BIO
Actor.., Artist.., Graphic Designer.., Radio Personality.., Model.., Mom.., What do these things have in common? These are just some of the things that describe the raw talent that radiates from the driven Kimm Marie.
In the picture below, Kimm can be seen hosting a radio show named "For Women Only" on WTRR Power 1400. The show tackled both family issues and entertainment. This platform allowed her to interview people affiliated with MTV, Disney, Eric Clapton, Chris Hardwick, Jenny McCarthy, and many more.
She wrote, produced and hosted various shows over her radio career while working for multiple radio stations, including:
98 Frog, 99.9 Kiss FM, 99.9 Froggy FM, Clear Channel - Magic 107.7, & Smooth Jazz 103.1 WLOQ.
Kimm also worked for a well known modeling agency at age 15, and was offered a scholarship by the director to attend their school. Not being afraid of the camera, she found herself modeling part time which gave her a chance to express her personality and charisma for companies such as Nascar, Coca-Cola, & KC Masterpiece.
Being born into an Italian/Jewish family from New York, but raised all her life in sunny Florida, gave Kimm a hubris outlook on life. As a young girl, she watched such shows as SCTV, I Love Lucy, Bewitched, The Munsters, & The Carol Burnett Show and was immediately inspired. Actors such as Lily Tomlin, Elizabeth Montgomery, Fred Gwynne, John Cleese & Jack Nicholson birthed a desire to do something that almost seemed natural to her....act.
With no acting experience, Kimm found herself at age 26 in a line with over 200 people waiting to audition for a role in a movie. At the back of the line she stood until...
Director: "I want her! I love your hair. I love your look. I want to cast you as the lead attorney in my film. Sorry, everyone else go home!... I want you to come audition for this role. Here is my card."
Kimm: "Um, Okay,...Sure."
Nervous was definitely an understatement as Kimm took the directors information, waited a few days, and drove to her first audition. As the director gave Kimm her sides to read, being a new mother of a 2 year old weighed on her heart. Kimm read her sides and began to fumble a bit. Noticing her nervousness the director said...
Director: Take your time. It's okay.
After working through the lines for a while, Kimm apologized and told the director...
Kimm: "I just cant right now."
Director: "I understand..., you are perfect for the role. We definitely want you for our movie. Please just go home and think about it. If you change your mind, we would love to have you. If not for this film, then maybe for a future one."
Kimm said thank you and went back home to focus on being a new mom, not knowing that acting would seek her out yet again later in life.
A "Renaissance Woman" is a term Kimm gladly excepts as her journey as a mom and entrepreneur kept her highly occupied, while her acting career awaited her arrival.
Driving to work one day she saw a sign that said, "Acting Classes".
Kimm: Hmmm. Acting.
She saw this sign every day on her way to work for about 1 month. Strangely, each day she saw it, the sign moved closer....and closer....and closer to her work place. Until it was right at her parking space. It was a sign. Like literally a sign. It couldn't be more obvious at this point. Okay, time for acting school.
Kimm called the number on the sign and restarted what can only be seen as destiny at this point and hasn't looked back. Every day she hones her skills as her natural talents seem to amplify. Kimm has done many acting projects, student films and also stage performances.
But what would a "Renaissance Woman" be if she stopped there? She also hosted her own celebrity podcast, which she interviewed big name celebrities and musicians. She had her artwork featured in the Orlando Museum of Art and some other local art galleries. She also used her personally owned graphic design company, to make movie posters and cd covers for bands, artists, and film makers.
Kimm is a unique talent, which she'll admit can be extra frustrating. Whether it's a comedy role, action, drama, horror, or suspense, Kimm tends to lend a refreshing and attractive perspective to whatever she's casted in.
Below we see Kimm Marie and Daniel Roebuck in the comedy "The Proposal".
Kimm is no stranger to being casted for commercials either. Whether its a local company, or a nation-wide advertisement, we have seen Kimm's face on a number of well-known products.
Although Kimm loves to step in and out of different characters, her biggest strength would have to be her professionalism both on and off set. Her work ethic is second to none as she lives and breathes it. The one thing you will hear most people say about Kimm is that she is a pleasure to work with and makes everyone's job easy.
"Outside of just being a great actor, she is a "real" person."
-The Writer
Kimm is a focused actor because she knows what she wants. She wants, "That Role".
Kimm has auditioned for some big name movies and series already and they have taken a huge liking to her. She's currently focused on making the right moves to get to where she needs to be.
In 2018, Kimm had a lead role in a SAG film, The Cheap Seats, (which releases in 2020).
Throughout her entire life, Kimm's acting future has traveled beside her waiting for her to step over the threshold. From the little girl sitting in front of a black and white dream tube, to the young mom who wanted to enjoy her personal life just a little while longer.
That day begins in 2020. And "That Role" is coming soon.
